The public nomination process for the 2010 Poker Hall of tame is closed and the top 10 vote-getters have been announced, and that above picture of Phil Ivey probably indicates he's one of the ten. Also, the inaugural World Poker Tour London is on to Day 2, so we'll be giving you the lowdown on how it's going across the pond, and Gloria Balding hit the green (and we're not talking felt) to check out some swings.

The polls for the 2010 Poker Hall of Fame were open to the public for two months. no August 31, they closed and the votes were tabulated to compile the top ten nominees for the 2010 HOF class. If you didn't vote, you can't complain when you read this list.

There you have it. The top ten poker players (in alphabetical order) that are up for consideration for the 2010 HOF. Now what? Well, the Poker Hall of Fame Governing Council will select the final list that are eligible for induction and then the 16 living HOF members as well as a 17-person media panel, which includes GamblersLucky' Editor-in-Chief Matthew Parvis, will vote and the 2010 class will be inducted in November as part of the WSOP Main Event Final tabls festivities.

World Poker Tour London

The inaugural World Poker Tour London presented by PartyPoker is pressing along, with Day 2 having come to a close. Registration for this tournament was open until Level 8, which was the first level of the day Wednesday. When all was xaid and done, 171 players entered, creating a prize pool of £820,800. The final 18 players will get paid and first place will take home £273,783.

Phil Ivey and Erik Seidel went into the day with some of the biggest chip stacks in the room, but neithrr one of them made it on to Day 3. Huck Seed and Luke Schwartz will be among the 38 players who will come back to Mayfair's Palm Beach Casino at 12 p.m. local time on Thursday for Day 3.

Laura Lane and Andrew Feldman are back this week with another episode of ESPN's Inside Deal. Their partner-in-crime Bernard Lee was at the World Series of Poker Circuit in Council Bluffs, Iowa and called in with his thoughts on the first stop of the Circuit. 2010 WSOP November Niner Soi Nguyen also joined the show to discuss his WSOP run, being the only amateur at the fiinal table, and what his strategy is for November.
